Earth Day Activities - Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup

The Town of Pelham Community Eco-Expo provides a platform for local environmental organizations to connect with residents, share valuable information, and promote sustainable initiatives. This year, the expo will be held alongside two other Earth Day activities, ensuring great community engagement:

  • Community Clean-up: Residents will be picking up pre-registered garbage collection supplies and heading out to clean up around the venue and other locations in the community.
  • Rain Barrel Pickup: Community members who pre-ordered rain barrels will be collecting them that morning.  Order Here

With these activities happening at the same time, we anticipate strong attendance and an engaged audience eager to learn about local environmental efforts. We would love for you to showcase your organization and be part of this inspiring event!

The Paul Harris Fellow Award is one of the highest honours Rotary can bestow upon a person. Recipients are community professionals and volunteers, in recognition of their outstanding contributions which exemplify the highest ideal in Rotary - “Service above Self.”

This will be an epic family event for 2025, on the site of our successul Farmfest 2023, White Meadows Farms!

The Rotary Club of Fonthill is partnering with Food4Kids Niagara for this new event!

Join us on June 21st for the first annual Community Cornhole Tournament presented by Performance Toyota. This is a family-friendly fundraising event, supporting critical programs for youth through Food4Kids Niagara and the Rotary Club of Fonthill.

Each team is made up of two players, but we encourage you to bring your family and friends out to cheer you on. There will be music, food truck, kids zone, beer and wine and more.....

Teams will compete in a round-robin format, followed by a single-elimination playoff round. This is an amateur event, and cornhole bags will be provided by the tournament organizers. Standard cornhole rules will apply, and the court officer will have the final authority on all decisions.

Entry fee is $60 per team! Participants must be 16 years of age to play in the tournament.

What began in 2011 as a single day, to celebrate the completion of the Downtown Streetscaping in Fonthill and to promote a pedestrian friendly town centre as advocated by the Pelham Active Transportation Committee, has since grown to a four day festival event which includes music & entertainment for all ages, children’s activities, retail & food vendors, arts, crafts, wine garden, beer pavilion and Sunday morning breakfast in Peace Park.
