Board & General Business Meeting - Minutes
September 23rd, 2020
 
1.    Open meeting: – welcome everyone - introduce guests
Hugh is unable to attend – Ann Harrison Chaired the meeting
 
2.    Land Acknowledgement: Paul Snack
Note: Anishinabe - refers to the Ojibway nation and can be pronounced "A-nish-in-knob-eh"
Haudenosaunee - refers to the Six Nations of the Grand River Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca and Tuscarora and can be pronounced " Hoe-dee-no-show-knee"

Thank you for the  flowers – Pat Duncan was sent some flowers in thanks from the Club for her decades of diligent service leading Interact at Crossley.  Heather, Janet and Ann are taking over that responsibility.  Pat sent a thank you for the flowers.

a) Treasurer Report – Randy Momot provided an update.  
Reminder re Membership Dues – Dues are $150 twice annually and all members were sent an invoice by Randy.  If you have not paid for the current period which covers membership through to the end of December, please do so.  You can submit your dues by the following methods:
-    E-Transfer to Randy.Momot@ca.gt.com.  These funds are directly deposited to the Club bank account.
-    Cheque made out the Rotary Club of Fonthill can be mailed to Rotary Club of Fonthill, 2035 Hollow Road, Fonthill, ON  L0S 1E6 or dropped off in an envelope to the attention of Gale Levay at her gas station at 151 Canboro Rd, Fonthill, ON L0S 1E0 (East Fonthill).

b) Dr. Ron Mergl Memorial Participate for Polio – October 24, 2020 World Polio Day
DG Frank provided an update on the event, together with a reminder that he is urging all members to contribute financially with a minimum $50US donation plus an additional $50US from a friend, busines or family member.
In order to meet the gathering restrictions under current COVID19 Emergency Measures there will be three waves of 20 riders on the Canadian side and something similar on the US side.
