Announcements
- Thank you to Past President Paul Snack for guiding us through a very successful year.  We recognize all the hard work that Paul has done for the club over the last 12 months.
- Welcome to newest member, Teresa Quinlin
- Congratulations to Frank Adamson as he becomes District Governor Nominee.
- Summerfest update from Roy.  Please ensure you have your Smartserve in order to sell, check ID or serve on July 21.
- Supper Market update from Roy.  We are selling tickets and serving beer/wine on Thursday, Aug 9 from 4-10.  Again, if you are volunteering, please have your Smartserve.  There is a mandatory information meeting on July 31 at Town Hall from 4:30 to 5:30 that we need to attend if volunteering.
- We will be hosting and sponsoring Mayors’ Debate.  Two dates, Sept 17 and 18 are being held at the Legion in order to provide flexibility for a soon to be found moderator’s schedule.  Jody Vizza will be chairing this committee.   If you are interested in being part of planning this exciting evening, let us know.  Tia T found a very detailed file from the last debate.  Thanks to Pat D for excellent documentation as it is going to make this one much easier to plan.
- Dues are due.  Please see Gail or Randy with your payment.
- Hugh G offered Duck Race tickets, which is a Welland Rotary Club Fundraiser.  Hopefully he will bring them again next week if you missed the meeting today.
- July 18, there is no meeting at Lookout due to large golf tournament.  Board will meet at 7:30am  at Tim Hortons beside Pen Financial.
- July 25, there is no meeting at Lookout.  We will take the Club on a social evening adventure to Mr. Mike’s Restaurant at the corner of Niagara St and Woodlawn in Welland.  Plan to meet at 6pm and have apps, dinner and/a beverage. Spouses are welcome and encouraged to join us.  It is a nice gesture to support Mr. Mikes as they sponsored 15 Mudfest runners.
- Canada Day team received special thanks and recognition for another excellent day in the park.  Thanks Lance, Judy and team!
- Tour du Lac, Frank A announced that the riders will be coming in to Wellspring on afternoon of July 22 and has arranged for Fonthill Lions Club to provide food and beverages.  We are asked to be there and work as a team with the Lions, cooking, serving or whatever they need.
- Mayor Dave was out to congratulate us on a successful year end wrap up and thank us for all that we do in the community such as Canada Day, Summerfest and Supper Market.  He also had a small gift for Fede.

Guest Speaker
Laura Kenney is leaving shortly for a year in Taiwan.  She has just wrapped up Grade 10 at EL Crossley and is very excited about this adventure, already practicing Mandarin.  She shared the extensive research she has already done, even before leaving Fonthill.  Mike Taylor….this was a perfect selection.

Next Meeting July 11 at Lookout Golf Course.  Discussion will include Club goals for the new year with guest speaker, Bob Eamer on his role as Chair of Club Service.
