TV Auction – Hugh is looking for a script reader on Thursday, November 15 from 1-3pm

 

Grant Training – Teresa Quinlin, Mel Groom and Frank Adamson attended training session on Saturday.  Club is now qualified to apply for District and Global Grants. Club will begin application process for 50% funding of 2 defibrillators for St. Johns Ambulance.

 

District Awards – District Governor Nominee Frank Adamson was pleased to share news with Past President Paul Snack that our club has been awarded the Lighthouse Award for 2017-18.  Club received $100 for Every Rotarian Award and 100% Participation Award as well.

 

No Sew Blankets – We will be invited to a Friendship Meeting with Welland Club in January and both clubs will spend the lunch hour making no sew blankets.  These blankets cost approximately $25 so we will have to decide whether this is in the budget.

 

Pelham Cares Baskets – Paul Allan met a 7 year old Beaver by the name of Harry Seppala at AK Wigg’s Remembrance Day Service.  This young man is working towards his Scouts’ North Star Award.  He has a Go Fund Me with a goal to collect $500 for purchase of Christmas gift hampers for Pelham Cares.  Paul A will ask Harry and Mom to attend one of our breakfast meetings.  MOTION: To donate $50 towards Harry’s project.  MSC Paul Snack and Mike Taylor/All

 

Fundraiser for Vivienne Quesnel - This is the young lady that attends school with Zac Snack and is battling return of rare cancer.  There is a fundraiser planned at Fonthill Legion this Sunday with brunch and/or dinner plus silent auction.  Tickets are sold out but you can still donate on gofundme.com for Smiles for Vivi Fundraiser. Silent Auction items are also appreciated.

 

Donor Wall Unveiling at Meridian Community Centre – Tuesday, Nov 27 4-6pm.

 

Club Social at Peter Pyper’s – Wednesday, Nov 28 6pm.  We have the lower level all to ourselves with meal and beverage service provided.  Bring your partners, family and friends for a evening of fun and chatter.

 

Town Council Inauguration – Meridian Community Centre Monday, Dec 3 at 6:30pm

 

Christmas Skating Party at Meridian Community Centre – Tuesday, Jan 2 2-3pm

 

Fonthill Fathers’ Funday Festival  Planning -  Paul Snack shared updates on planning our new fundraising event.  Club will discuss initial plans and structure subcommittees at our Dec 5 meeting.
