The town lit Pelham Arches blue and gold on Oct 24 in honour of World End Polio Day. Polio may seem to be a disease of yesteryear to North Americans, but in truth, around the globe, it is not. Rotary International’s efforts have come so far in the past few decades to completely eradicate polio from the world, yet a few countries still report a handful of new cases each year.
