Thanks to the leadership of the Interact Club of E.L. Crossley and with support from the Rotary Club of Fonthill, nearly 20 families in Niagara will get to have a festive table of food and gifts to share.

The Interact Club with the Crossley Students’ Council, encouraged their home rooms classes to adopt families in need as identified by the Salvation Army.  Staff, students and Crossley families purchased gifts for the children and non-perishable food items for the family.  Many also included gifts and treats for the parents/grandparents.  Gift cards for local grocery stores will help families to purchase the remaining items needed for a festive dinner.

On Friday, December 17th, members of the Rotary Club of Fonthill, who had adopted two of the families, came to the school and in short order all the boxes of items were loaded by the students into the cars for delivery to the collection site, Holy Trinity Church in Welland.  A collective spirit of giving was certainly felt by all.

Special thanks to students and to staff members Ms. Ranieri and Mrs. Varga as well as the whole Pelham community.
